Bricks of Hope
Our shelter project in Southern Sudan is well on its way as families have begun making bricks for their new homes. The new two room homes will be built to withstand the termite damage that has destroyed many of the homes within the village.
Many of the refugee families in Torit have returned with only what they could carry, leaving them with only the surrounding timber and material to build their homes . By building on the already available materials within the village, SFL has partnered with many families in Torit to provide additional training and sound engineering to help them rebuild their homes.
You can help us reach more families by donating towards the construction of a new home. $2,500 will provide a Southern Sudanese family a healthy living space and sense of ownership that will give them the strength and encouragement to begin again.
